Here’s what we are currently working on
Linda Vista Drive Crossing Project
Project Description
The Linda Vista Drive Crossing includes removing and replacing the existing culverts that cross E Linda Vista Drive, just north of N Paradise Road. The City also be removed and replaced sections of water and sewer mains within the roadway.
The Wedge Detention Basin Project
Project Description
The Wedge Detention Basin Project includes the construction of a new stormwater detention basin in the City-owned parcel known as “The Wedge”. Crews are currently installing new storm drain pipe along Linda Vista Drive, between the “The Wedge” parcel and the new Linda Vista Drive Crossing culverts.
Cedar Avenue Crossing Project
Project Description
This project involves replacing the box culvert underneath Cedar Avenue, between Grandview Drive and Monte Vista Drive. The box culvert will be replaced with a larger one to convey post-wildfire flows in Spruce Wash. Preliminary work included lowering the existing water main in Cedar Avenue to make room for the larger box culvert, which was completed in early January. The installation of the new box culvert is anticipated in spring 2025. With the existing water main in Cedar Avenue lowered to make room for the larger box culvert, we will move forward with additional utility work along Cedar Avenue and Main Street. Lane shifts along Cedar Avenue are in place during this work, however, both east and west bound traffic along Cedar Avenue, including access to Grandview Drive and Main Street, will be maintained.
The slip lane from East Linda Vista Drive onto West Cedar Avenue is closed to all traffic. This closure is necessary for crews to install new concrete and drainage improvements. As part of the Spruce Wash suite of projects, a new section of sidewalk will be added that will connect the existing sidewalk on Cedar Avenue to the Linda Vista Drive crossing via the slip lane. Motorists can still make turning movements onto Cedar Avenue via the signaled intersection.
Linda Vista Drive will open to all vehicles prior to May 23, 2025.
